Pittsgrove Township administers the
Construction Office for Upper Pittsgrove
Township through a shared services
agreement. Upper Pittsgrove residents
must go to the Pittsgrove Township
Municipal Building (989 Centerton Rd.)
for all building permits.
|Prior to obtaining a construction permit you may need to
apply for a Zoning Permit. Zoning Permits are still processed
and issued at the Upper Pittsgrove Municipal Building.
Zoning permits are required prior to getting a construction
permit for anything that changes the footprint of your
property, including new buildings or structures, an addition
to your home or any other building, fences, pools, signs,
ground mounted solar units, etc. Zoning permits are not
needed for a new roof, new siding, or roof mounted solar
unless the size of your home is changing.
To apply for a Zoning Permit:
Fill out the Zoning Permit Application. Submit with the
application a drawing/map/survey of all proposed changes
to your property showing the distances from all property
lines (front, back, and sides). Zoning permits are good for 6
months from issuance.
